What you see – We notice huge glass facades, fast moving crowds and countless vehicles as we near More, the biggest supermarket in Mysore. The name of the store was changed from Fabcity to More after the Aditya Birla Group took over its ownership. 

What you get – As the name of the store suggests, the store has more products than other supermarkets. Each floor stretches across an area of 5,000 square feet and the products are neatly arranged on racks all around the store. There are more than fifty sales personnel and products can be easily identified by the signboards hung over different aisles.

This four-storied store stocks every essential household product and some more. The ground floor stocks fruits and vegetables, cereals and pulses, beverages, ready to cook products, bakery items, baby care products, personal care products, hygiene products and fashion accessories. It also has a wine counter and pharmacy.

 

The prices of vegetables are a little lower than regular market prices. You can buy all types of vegetable and groceries here. Fresh produce and food items are well preserved and attractively displayed.

 

The first floor has men’s apparel and accessories, women’s apparel and accessories, lingerie, kids’ clothes and footwear. On the second floor you will find home décor items, linen, sports goods, toys, stationery, books, music and electronic items. The third floor is for furniture.

 

There is a good collection of clothes and footwear for men, women and kids. Formal, casual and ethnic wear is available for the entire family. They have clothes from the leading brands like Peter England, Excalibur, Flying Machine etc. What’s good is that you can avail discounts on the clothes all through the year. The trial rooms are neatly maintained and are spacious.

 

We liked the furniture in this store. There are stylish cots, sofa sets, dining tables and other office and home furniture. It also stocks electronic products from leading brands like LG, Godrej, Onida, Samsung etc. You can even buy the latest handsets from different mobile companies.

 

Our verdict – In today’s busy times a supermarket like More is a blessing. You can buy all your household products from a single store. The quality of products is also second to none and the bonus is that the prices are also marginally lower than other stores. There is ample parking space in front of the store and in the basement as well.
